an artistic development program for actors, writers, and directors

Actors: Get professional feedback on your self-tapes.

Writers: Hear your work read out loud.

Directors: Be our featured director of the month!

How It Works

The Chain is a win-win-win program that gives artists opportunities to hone their skills in a mutually beneficial way. 1. Writers submit scenes and get to see them read by actors.  2. Actors submit self-tapes using those scenes. 3. Featured Directors/Casting Directors give professional feedback on the actors' self-tapes, and in exchange for their time and expertise, we feature the director on our website and social media.

See Your Work Read Aloud

Submit a 2-person Scene

  • Scene length: 1-3 pages max.

  • It doesn't have to be perfect. We assume you'll want to submit a work-in-progress. But it does have to be a complete scene.

If selected, your scene will be performed as a self-taped audition by at least 4 (and up to 10)  different actors.

We will send you a link to the videos so that you can review them at your leisure. Seeing your work read aloud can be a vital piece of developing your script!

NOTE: Your work will NOT be shared publicly. All participants sign a non-disclosure agreement. The Chain is a private space for participants to practice their craft.
